The Trump Tax Scam will result in small tax cuts for people with low to moderate incomes, offset by massive cuts to Medicare and Social Security and evisceration of many federal departments and agencies that protect our air, water, economy, jobs, homes, civil rights and schools while producing billions of dollars of tax cut for Trump and his friends and colleagues.
If you don't think this is a good plan, please plan to join the demonstration Wednesday November 8 (the day after the election, don't forget to vote!) at 11am at 1 Park Place (Schumer's office) in Peekskill. This is one local action out of many that will be held across the country that week.

Because of the conflict on Sept. 25th with the LWV Constitutional Convention program, and many of our members desire to attend that meeting, i have worked some magic and coordinated with The Mahopac Methodist Church and Robert Langley and was able to change the date to Monday, Sept. 18th from 6:30-8:30.
It is of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE that our members attend, so that Langley can share his platform on how he can rid the sheriff dept. of its corruption and immorality.
As members have expressed to me, it is also extremely important to voice our adamant opposition to any NYS Constitutional Convention. This will be a dangerous thing for all progressive, as well as most New Yorkers.
Again, please plan to attend Putnam Progressive's meeting on Monday Sept. 18th.
Please come to Peekskill 5:30pm today to tell Trump that he was wrong to kill DACA and to demand that Schumer support a bipartisan effort to pass a viable law protecting the 800,000 people who grew up here and are in line to be deported.
Bring signs without poles. A piece of cardboard that says DACA! would be enough.
Come to Schumer's office, 1 Park Street, Peekskill. Find legal parking (the lot at the drug across the street is not legal) and feed the meter if necessary.
If instructed to disperse, grab your sign and start walking around the block, chanting or singing if possible. If instructed to disperse, it would be illegal to stay where you are, so keep moving.
Please join us if you can. If you have other commitments or one of those crazy days and can't come, that's okay but please call up two friends and ask them to come in your place
Situation: Racists and white supremacists bring their hate to Charlottesville and attack peaceful unarmed counterdemonstrators. One hatemonger drives his car through the counterdemonstrators. At least one killed, many injured, two police killed in helicopter crash. President speaks out against hatred "on many sides" but refuses to criticize the message of the white supremacist and suggests that the blame is shared equally by the attackers and the people attacked. We cannot accept this. Please come out and show support for the victims.
